I’ve got a Ubuntu 24.04 laptop and am running the AppImage version of Tagspaces. When I use the web clipper to grab a bookmark to an article, Tagspaces renders it as a text file, like so:

Yes, this a known issue. You are probably using the Web Clipper extension in the Firefox browser. It automatically add .DOWNLOAD to the .URL file extension. The solution is to remove the .DOWNLOAD by renaming the file. Just click F2 in TagSpaces to open the file rename dialog.
When I did that, and tried to open it, it started opening tab after tab in Firefox - I had to try to close them faster than they were being opened to keep it from going on however long.
Honestly, I feel like this isn’t really gonna work for me. Thanks for the help, though.
