If we delete a file in tagspaces, then its corresponding thumbnail and .json file also gets deleted. BUT if we delete a file outside tagspaces, then those corresponding files will remain.
This will eventually lead to a situation where there are many “Orphan” useless files in the .ts folder.
Can tagspaces do a cleanup of these files? Like we can hit a button every few weeks which will do the cleanup?
Otherwise what’s the solution to this problem? what the users are expected to do?
Oh, this tool would have solved the problem but I found 2 bugs with this tool. These commands:
tscmd -m metacleaner D:\TestFolder1
tscmd -m metacleaner -a false D:\TestFolder1
Deletes ALL the thumbnails files in the .ts folder, even the ones which are not orphan!
Does not delete ANY .json file from the .ts folder, the orphan file remained as it is.
As you can see all .jpg files get deleted but no .json file:
tscmd -m metacleaner -a false D:\TestFolder1
File cleaned:D:\TestFolder1.ts\CS DBMS File [tag2].pdf.jpg
File cleaned:D:\TestFolder1.ts\Dbms_Notes [tag3].pdf.jpg
File cleaned:D:\TestFolder1.ts\RENAMED.pdf.jpg
File cleaned:D:\TestFolder1.ts\ORIGINAL [tag1].pdf.jpg
File cleaned:D:\TestFolder1.ts\ds [medium].jpg.jpg
File cleaned:D:\TestFolder1.ts\economics [medium].jpg.jpg
Dir cleaned:D:\TestFolder1
