Files not being deleted on S3 storage

Hi,
I’m using Tagspaces with Amazon S3 storage. Everything seems to be working okay, except when I try to delete a file in Tagspaces it says that the file is deleted- but it actually does not delete.

I double checked to make sure delete permissions were enabled for the user on the Amazon S3 storage.

Which version of TagSpaces are you using and on which operating system? I was not able to reproduce the issue with the Desktop version on Mac.

I’m using Tag Spaces v.5.7.13 PRO. Mac OS 13.6.3.

I am able to go into my storage bucket using the same credentials via the Commander One app and am able to delete files okay. So I don’t think its a permissions thing.

It does not look as a permission issue then… Can you please send me a screenshot of the develop console after trying to delete a file on AWS S3 bucket. You can open the develop console with F12 or from the file menu.

Hi. I’ve attached a screenshot. It doesn’t look like it gave up an error message when I deleted the file in TagSpaces.

Hi,
I’ve done a screen recording to better illustrate this: https://tribepictures.fromsmash.com/tagspaces

I try to delete the file “test2.mp4.” TagSpaces says the file is deleted. I refresh the location index and it is still there. If I open up the S3 location in Commander One it still shows the test2.mp4 file still there. Once I delete it in Commander One it actually gets erased from the S3 storage.

I would love to resolve this because TagSpaces would be perfect for what I need it for.

Any help would be appreciated on this. I paid for the pro version for support. I’m hoping I can get some.

Even with the video I can not reproduce the issue. We are going to release a new version in coming week, can you please try to reproduce the issue there. Can you please send me a screenshot with the settings of your AWS S3 location (without the keys).

Hi,
I ended up getting rid of my Amazon S3 storage and migrating my library over to Dropbox. There everything seems to work as it should with TagSpaces no problems. Thanks!
