I’m using tag spaces on both Windows and on a Macbook Pro and whenever I open my folders I get an incredible amount of lag. On my Windows desktop in particular It really ties up the entire system until I close tag spaces. This seems to be tied to the thumbnail generation, As I have two folders where it seems to have been able to process those thumbnails and loads without much of a hiccup at all. However in other folders where it has not been able to process this, we get that enormous hang up.
The folders contain video files of varying sizes Averaging about 50 to anywhere around 250 files within each folder. On the Macbook Pro, the app will frequently crash if I go within these folders, and again on my Windows desktop it just hangs and makes the entire computer lag. We’re talking to top of the line CPU with 64 gigabytes of RAM is crashing out while this app is loading information from my local NAS server.
Any help is appreciated. Turning off thumbnails may do the trick and I have not tried it yet, but having those thumbnails is vital to the workflow to appropriately tag the items.
