Title question pretty much says it all. I’ve searched the web and tried to find documentation before posting here. But here’s my deal.
I’ve exported my tag library, edited the JSON externally, and then re-imported but am getting an error complaining of syntax every time. I’ve quadruple checked, and the JSON is clean. The only thing i can think of is that the 340 tags I’m trying to add are too many and thus causing a non-specific error… Do I need to split them into smaller tag groups? Or is there some ceiling I’m bumping against in general?
Just replying to advise that I solved the issue. My json file was missing a comma between tag brackets which was causing the import to fail. It’s working now. I know it’s hard work to make error messages more fruitful but a line number on the import error would have saved me a few hours of head scratching. This post doesn’t need further attention. Thanks.
Even tho ZebulonGlitchl answered his own question, I would still like to know if there is a practical limit on the number of tags. This would be the number of tags in a group, the number assigned to a file or folder, & the absolute number of tags. Am a newbie so if this is a silly question I apologize. Thanks in advance for any help
