I use TagSpaces to organize my collection of PC games. It works pretty well for this purpose, but these games all have their own folder structures, some with thousands of files that I don’t care about. This means that even though I only have about a hundred folders I’m interested in, the search index is pushing 100,000 entries. Not only does this waste my computing power, but it also limits functionality; for example, I would love to be able to use the “untagged files/folders” feature to quickly find games I haven’t tagged yet, but that search result is useless due to being inundated with supporting files.
I propose adding a way to limit search depth on a per-location basis. A value of 0 would mean only files/folders directly inside the root folder could be returned.
