Status of the Android App?

Hello,

I found this app when I was searching for an open source file management application with file tagging.

I tried the web demo and I think I like this app but there is one problem:
On the Downloads Page It says that the Android app is deprecated.

If I look at the Github Releases there is an android apk with the newest version 6.6.4

So is the Android app still maintained and gets updates or what is the state of it?

Hi,

the version on the download page and on GitHub are the same. We have put the deprecation notice because the app is not featuring on Google Play anymore because it have to be migrated to a new Android API level, which is a lot of changes, we are currently not able to make.

So the app is only marked as deprecated because its not on Google Play but it’s still receiving updates, right?

I think the deprecated status is a bit misleading then because it looks like the app doesn’t get updates anymore

In my experience, it is not just labeled “deprecated”. It is indeed incompatible with up-to-date desktop versions, for example, it cannot find the files with the same custom tag
