Migrating from Rename File method to Sidecar File method

I already have hundreds of my desktop local files tagged using the Rename file method.

If I decide to migrate to the SideCar File tagging Method for files in my local drive:

  1. is it simple as changing the File Tagging Method under the settings/general?

  2. Will the tags on the files done using the rename method, be available after changing the tagging method, or do I have to do the file tagging all over again?

  3. Anything else to be done before migrating the tagging method ?

you can switch the tagging method at any time, TagSpaces will deal with tags added in both ways. You can even have different tagging method per locations if you wish.
