Opening internal links to files and OneNote directly using URL's

I am aware that TagSpaces can link to internal files, but these files have to be loaded into TagSpaces first in order to get a “Copy Sharing Link” value.

However, is there any way for TagSpaces to directly open internal files, and other items such as OneNote pages and paragraphs, directly from URL links such as:

[file:/F:\My1\My Documents\My Documents Main\AARTO\Comments-20180211-1.doc](file:///F:/My1/My%20Documents/My%20Documents%20Main/AARTO/Comments-20180211-1.doc)

or

onenote:#Registration Info&section-id={8ECE68A4-F99E-4DD0-AB44-A0FB6FE8E5C6}&page-id={03F69298-0F7A-40FF-803F-7892887D4F1B}&end&base-path=F:\My1\My%20Data\OneNote%20Notebooks\VideosGeneral\TagSpaces.one

For example, can TagSpaces handle a “mailto:” item or link?

When I try to enter links such as the ones given above, all I get is an “Invalid URL” or “Invalid Link” message.

I see that there is a “native” mode for opening items, which is very useful. I like that.

Hi @StuartAitchison ,

and sorry for my late response. In the next version we are going to support mailto: and onenote: links. Thanks for bringing this up!

Direct link to files/folder are currently not supported and we are not planning to support them, because the file move often and links goes broken. We prefer to use our internal links, where we save a file id in the link with which the app can find later the linked file if it was moved.

Ilian, Hi:

Noted, and thanks for the reply.
